Go Swim Loch Lomond
Go Swim Loch Lomond is a significant open water swimming event held at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch annually. The event is inclusive, with different experiences for all abilities ranging from 250m to 10,000m, and there are also junior events. Cormonachan Woodlands
Cormonachan Woodlands is a not-for-profit organisation that manages the woodlands for its owners, Forestry & Land Scotland. Stretching along the banks of Loch Goil, the woods are looked after by local volunteers. Recently they have greatly enhanced the visitor experience, installing new hides to view squirrels whilst extending and improving pathways and tracks.
Doon Hill, Aberfoyle
The legendary story of Reverend Robert Kirk who was a minister in Aberfoyle between 1685-1692. He put Aberfoyle on the map as the ‘Faerie Capital’, inspiring many people to walk up Doon Hill with the story of him being abducted by the faeries for revealing their secrets. Reverend Kirk famously told the secrets of fairies in a book that he wrote. They are said to have had their revenge though, when he took a walk-up Doon Hill, as they took his soul, trapping it in a pine tree at the top of the hill.

Lake of Menteith, The Trossachs
The Lake of the Menteith is the only lake in Scotland, it is on the Trossachs Trail and easily reached from Aberfoyle and Callander. Most famous for Inchmahome Priory, on one of the islands in the loch. Historic Scotland opens the island seasonally, operating an on-demand ferry.
Puck's Glen near Dunoon

Falls of Dochart, Killin
The Falls of Dochart are in the pretty village of Killin, within the National Park, but very close to the outer boundary of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. As you can see from the map below, they are actually in the village. The main A827 road has to pass over the falls to access Killin. Loch lubhair and Loch Dochart
You will find first Loch Dochart and then Loch lubhair when heading east on the A85 from Crianlarich. The River Dochart connects both of these neighbouring lochs in the Breadalbane region of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs.
