Loch Venachar

Lake of Menteith, The Trossachs
The Lake of the Menteith is the only lake in Scotland, it is on the Trossachs Trail and easily reached from Aberfoyle and Callander. Most famous for Inchmahome Priory, on one of the islands in the loch. Historic Scotland opens the island seasonally, operating an on-demand ferry.
Loch Ard, The Trossachs
Here is another feature on one of the 22 lochs of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. This feature is about Loch Ard, in the Trossachs by Aberfoyle. Sir Walter Scott, whose literary work put the Trossachs on the map, described Loch Ard in his Rob Roy novel as an 'enchanting sheet of water.' Puck's Glen near Dunoon
A guide to the magnificent and enchanted Puck's Glen gorge, near Dunoon. The pathway through the Argyll Forest gets you up close with the rushing waterfalls.
