Loch Lomond Children Play Parks
We hope you find this list of children's playparks in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs useful. If you are visiting with small children, it is helpful to know where the play parks are and how good they are. We've added photographs to give you an idea of what to expect, and will expand the number of locations featured in the coming months.
Places are listed alphabetically. Use the comments section below to post your reviews and recommendations of these and other play parks in the National Park.
Aberfoyle
The play park in Aberfoyle is next to Main Street. Park in the big car park and access by the footpath which is also part of the NCN7 cycle path. It has recently had some improvements to the flying fox.
There are also play facilities for children in the trails at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre.
Balloch
There are several play parks in Balloch, all of which are pictured below. Moss o’ Balloch has various wooden play equipment and is at the entrance to the large car park. There is a play park in Balloch Castle Country Park by the water's edge. Finally, Loch Lomond Shores has the recently refurbished Dragon’s Den play park. Often on summer weekends, they will have small funfair rides.
Balmaha
What you see below is the extent of the play park at Balmaha. It’s a small area within the main car park.
Callander
Pictured here is the play park at Callander Meadows, by the main car park in Callander.
Gartocharn
There is a play play located alongside the A811 in the village of Gartocharn.
Glen Finglas
There is an excellent play trail at Glen Finglas, read our more detailed guide here. Glen Finglas is between Callander and Loch Katrine, near Brig o’ Turk.
Killin
Breadalbane Park is a large grass area in the village of Killin. It is where you will find events such as the Highland Games and Agriculture Fair. There is a good play park area, shown in the picture below and the one at the top of this guide.
Kilmun
A nice boat themed play area for small children at Kilmun by Holy Loch in Cowal.
Luss
It’s good to report new investment and improved visitor facilities. At Luss there is now an excellent new play park, which is 5 minutes walk from either of the two large car parks.
Strathyre
In the village of Strathyre there is a small, but nice play park, accessed by NCN7 cycle path.
We’ll add some more play parks in the coming months. Please leave any reviews or recommendations for play parks in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in the comments section below.
