Cormonachan Woodlands is a not-for-profit organisation that manages the woodlands for its owners, Forestry & Land Scotland. Stretching along the banks of Loch Goil, the woods are looked after by local volunteers. Recently they have greatly enhanced the visitor experience, installing new hides to view squirrels whilst extending and improving pathways and tracks.

The Rest and Be Thankful - a memorable and familiar name, this is part of the A83 that runs from Loch Lomond to Campbelltown, on the Kintyre Peninsula.

Famous, or perhaps infamous for the frequent road closures due to dramatic landslides that have blighted this vital road link for many years.
