Rowardennan and Ben Lomond

Stronachlachar, Loch Katrine
Stronachlachar is a small lochside community by Loch Katrine in the Trossachs. The spectacular narrow and winding 11-mile road from Aberfoyle passes Lochs Ard, Chon and Arklet and is one of the most scenic routes in the National Park. Tyndrum
Tyndrum, close to the northern boundary of the National Park is a good place to get food, drink, petrol and gifts. Killin
Killin is a pretty village, close to the edge of the National Park and the western head of Loch Tay. The dramatic Falls of Dochart cut through the village, with the A827 heading over a bridge across them. If you want to see more photographs of the falls, please see our separate guide to them. Balquhidder is a small village in Breadalbane, deep in Rob Roy Country. Balquhidder Kirk is the resting place of the outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor, there are many excellent walks nearby and two lochs - Loch Voil and Loch Doine. Blairmore on Loch Long
Blairmore is a small village on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll. The community have created a wonderful garden and outdoor space, opposite the Victorian Pier. Inveruglas, Loch Lomond
Inveruglas is towards the north end of Loch Lomond, on the western shores. Home to a hydroelectric power scheme and a special viewing pyramid It is an 8-metre high pyramid installed in 2015, part of the Scotland Scenic Routes project.
