Drymen Heritage Trail

Drymen Square

Drymen Community (Drymen Community Development Trust working with Drymen Heritage) has an excellent heritage trail in the village. The route starts at the historic village square, discovering some of the previous uses of the buildings around the village centre. The tour extends by footpath to the neighbouring Buchanan Estate.

Accompanying the trail is a series of short audio podcasts recorded by current village residents. The dramatised stories they tell bring to life many places and buildings featured from different moments during the last few centuries.

The audio adds an authentic twist to the tour, with some interesting stories that transport you back to a moment in history. It's nice that these audio stories are presented by local people and add another dimension to the experience with an immersive heritage trail.
